Glebe House has just been awarded 5 Gold Stars by Visitscotland in recognition of their wonderful facilities and the warmest of welcomes and attention to every little detail from owner Sara.
Our guests have described Glebe House as giving them a “wonderful and relaxing” stay with “style”, “comfort” and “peace in a wonderful setting” with “stunning and comfortable rooms” and “superb breakfasts” Dave and I are here to make guests feel at home and we do what we can to make your short stay special. We recognise you want more than beautiful surroundings so we aim always to provide the friendly, personal hospitality that you want.
We have recently renovated this beautiful house to a luxuriously high standard for guests. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, of course, and also its own private lounge. So, when the Scottish rain falls and you’re tired of walking or sight-seeing come home early and have tea and home-made cakes in the privacy of your cosy but elegant rooms.
The house has history to tell being the manse of St. Serf’s church in Dunning which is now the home of the ancient Dupplin Cross and open to visitors during the summer months.
Glebe House is set in 1.6 acres of mature and secluded gardens in the centre of the historic village of Dunning in Perthshire which attracts visitors to its monuments and pretty lanes.
There are two suites available to our guests. Both have their own lounge, en-suite bath or shower, high quality memory foam beds, free WiFi through-out, radio, satellite TV and DVD player, books and games, table for work or play, hospitality tray, soft bathrobe, slippers and individual toiletries. All rooms have views of the garden.
The Kincladie suite has a king sized bed and can be used as twin accommodation. There’s a chaise longue in the bedroom, ample storage and a spacious feel. Its luxury en-suite has a large shower cubicle and space to breathe with burred oak shelving hand made by Dave. The Kincladie lounge is cosy with designer wall covering and chesterfields that are striking but in keeping with the historic house.
The Dupplin suite has a double bedroom, cosier and still stylish. The bespoke quilting on the bed depicts the stained glass of the house and Dunning’s features. The en-suite bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath and large shower cubicle and more impressive burred oak shelving and fittings. The Dupplin lounge is large and sunny with its leather chesterfields and boutique features.
Suites are from £120 per night bed and breakfast for 2 people sharing
£105 single occ £120 double
There is something for everyone for breakfast. Sara will freshly cook your breakfast to order from an extensive menu using local and home-made and grown produce. There’s traditional Scottish breakfasts, eggs benedict and more, home-made compotes and smoothies, fresh seasonal fruit (Dunning is surrounded by wonderful strawberry and raspberry farms), vegetarian options, home-made speciality breads and Scots pancakes.
Breakfast is taken in the traditional dining room or if you prefer to stay in your own lounge a continental breakfast can be served to you there.
Home cooked evening meals can be taken in the traditional dining room at Glebe House by arrangement or there are two welcoming pub restaurants in the village just 3 minutes from your door.
