Wine & Dine

Our Brasserie Restaurant is open 7 days a week, we serve lunch from 12 noon until 2.00pm Saturday and Sunday (between September until March) and 12 noon until 2.00pm every day (between April until August).  On offer are Light Snacks, Homemade Cakes, Scones and Biscuits, an extensive range of Hot & Cold Beverages, Fine Wines and Beers.

Dinner is available from 6.00pm until 8.30pm each evening.  An extensive Brasserie style selection of classic dishes is available, using only the best Fish, Meat, Poultry, Cheese and Vegetables from local Suppliers

We are very fortunate in having a very well versed connoisseur with unbeatable knowledge on the history of Scottish malts. Murdo MacLeod will be only too glad to advise you, when it comes to the many local west coast Malt whiskies proudly displayed' on the Royal Hotel gantry. Recommendations can be made to assist you choose your preferred tipple during your stay here at the Royal Hotel.

There are five distilleries in the West Highlands, three on islands and two on the mainland. The island distilleries are: Jura (Isle of Jura), Ledaig / Tobermory (Isle of Mull) and Talisker (Isle of Skye). The mainland distilleries are: Oban (in Oban) and Ben Nevis (at Fort William).

The Royal Hotel is the ideal venue for your conference. We are conveniently located for main road access and close to the ferries.
We have a substantial conference room which offers an ideal comfortable and peaceful location for your meeting.
Hot Beverages and refreshments are available and we are happy to supply Over Head Projector & screen, TV, Video and Flipcharts.
 


Local Info

There are many local activities within a short distance from The Royal Hotel. A few hundred meters away we have Ardrishaig bowling club and 2 miles away Lochgilphead bowling club (top caption). You can see from the extensive list below that you'll most definitely not not be short of things to do - something for everybody.

Boat Trips, with Loch Fyne on our doorstep and the Atlantic close by, what better way to experience the beauty of Argyll than on the sea.

Motor Cycle Touring,  Clay Pigeon Shooting, Cycling
Bicycles can be hired locally from Crinan Cycles in Lochgilphead, Tel No 01546 603511.There are numerous mountain bike trails in the area, for all levels of skill and experience.

Diving
The West Coast of Scotland is ideal for diving, with some great wrecks to visit and lots of marine life to observe.

Fishing

If the weather’s warm, there’s some lovely beaches in the area for those brave enough to take to the sea. In particular, Crinan Ferry is a stunning beach where the Atlantic waters can be a touch warmer than elsewhere!

Walking
Crinan Canal is on our doorstep and is ideal for a leisurely stroll along the towpath. Sixteen miles from Ardrishaig basin to Crinan Harbour, it’s an enjoyable walk through pretty countryside with the opportunity to watch the boats make their way along the banks and through the locks.Local ferry trips and places of interest to visit all within an hour away are the Islands of Islay, Arran and Gigha. As well as Campbeltown and the Mull of Kintyre.
