Welcome to the Dunorin House Hotel which is situated 3 miles south of Dunvegan castle, in the beautiful north-west of Skye. The hotel commands panoramic views of MacLeod’s Tables and the Cuillins. The hotel’s situation is one of the only places on Skye that offers uninterrupted views of all these scenic locations and is ideally situated for touring the whole island.
We are situated overlooking Loch Roag which can be seen from the restaurant and lounge bar. You can see spectacular sunrises over the loch to the Cuillins and sunsets to the west behind the MacLeod's Tables.
Directions
From the Skye Bridge follow the A87 to Sligachan. At Sligachan follow the A863 to Dunvegan. Three miles south of Dunvegan turn left at the Roag/Orbost junction. The hotel is 300 metres down on the right-hand side. Parking is located at the front of the hotel.

The dining room enjoys views towards the Cuillins over Loch Roag on a clear day! The menu is varied and consists of traditional Scottish fayre, using the finest local produce and it is complemented by our select wine list.
Relax in the spacious hotel lounge with a drink from the bar, where a range of traditional malt whiskies including Skye’s own famous Talisker which is distilled at Carbost are available. We also stock a selection of Island ales including Red and Black Cuillin. At the Dunorin House you can enjoy the views over Loch Roag in the summer months or relax by the open log fire on cooler evenings.
We have 10 attractive en-suite bedrooms which are spacious, comfortable and equipped to a high standard. All rooms have colour tv, tea and coffee making facilities and some with views of the MacLeod.
All the bedrooms are on the ground floor and non-smoking.

Dunvegan is an ideal base for walking, climbing and bird watching with the spectacular scenery of the Cuillins and MacLeod’s Tables as a back drop. Dunvegan Castle is said to be the oldest inhabited castle in Northern Scotland, having been occupied by the clan MacLeod for over seven centuries and today remains the ancestral home of the present 29th chief John MacLeod.
