The Ardvasar Hotel was built in the early 1800's making it one of the oldest hotels on Skye. Personally run by the owner Richard Jeffrey, it is situated in the beautiful "Garden of Skye" overlooking the Sound of Sleat and the magnificent Knoydart Mountains beyond. Situated approximately 800 metres from Armadale, here the ferry from Mallaig brings you "Over the sea to Skye".

Our delightful lounge which has lovely views across the Sound of Sleat has an excellent selection of books and games and is for exclusive use of our residents
The lounge bar offers a convivial atmosphere in which to take your pre dinner drink, test your palate with the large variety of malts or discuss your day with fellows holidaymakers.
The small public bar with pool table is a favourite haunt of a lively crowd of young locals most weekends, and this is the place to meet the true Skye folk.
We have ten en-suite bedrooms furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Each having colour TV, clock radio, direct dial telephone, hospitality tray and hairdryer. There is a trouser press on the landing and iron and ironing facilities are available. There are three very spacious superior rooms including one four-poster. Several rooms are suitable for families. Well behaved dogs are welcome in owners' bedrooms, but not in public rooms.

The area is a haven for seals, otters, buzzards, golden eagles and if you are very lucky a sea eagle. There is a wealth of native flora and a walk through the woodlands in Spring can be quite spectacular with bluebells, primroses and wood anemones. In autumn the moors turn purple with the heather. The area is a Mecca for those who enjoy walking, fishing and sailing, or just relax in our delightful lounge with its beautiful surroundings, or take tea in our pretty garden
