Events

We are a small personal hotel and we know our strengths and our limitations. We don’t specialize in large corporate and business events, but instead pride ourselves as an exclusive venue for the smaller, high-end corporate offsite event or executive meeting – whether it be a think tank weekend, a residential board or executive meeting, a teambuilding or motivational course for a small company team or group, or a small incentive trip or party to reward excellent staff performance.

Our size, intimacy and caring philosophy create the perfect setting for your corporate event. Our focus on attention to detail and the comfort of your team allows you to focus on achieving your business goals without having to worry about the logistics of meeting rooms, meal times and entertainment.

Our facilities are remarkably flexible to provide the ideal environment for a number of small events where closeness, personal contact and quiet concentration are essential ingredients for your event’s success. And we are ideal also as an exclusive use venue for small day and residential events. Highly competitive exclusive use rates are available on request.

Local Info

There is a wealth of things to do in this glorious area between the mountains, in the heart of Cairngorm National Park. The popular TV series 'Monarch of the Glen' was filmed in several locations all around - to the west, for example, Laggan was Glenbogle village. The museums at Newtonmore and Kingussie with their reconstructed buildings give a vivid insight into Highland life of old. Native wildlife (including former inhabitants such as wolves) can be seen at the Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig. There are very entertaining working sheepdog displays near Kincraig.

The area offers a fabulous range of activities. In addition to the watersports centre on Loch Insh, Newtonmore and Kingussie both offer fine golf and also ponytrekking. Hunting and fishing can be arranged throguh the local estates. Walkers also have a huge choice, from the high-level routes on Creag Meagaidh (a national nature reserve) west of Laggan, (itself a good waking base). There is a Wildcat Trail round Newtonmore, plus an interpretation trail around Loch Insh - though with miles of mountains and forests, this is all excellent walking country.

The Cairngorms is Scotland’s finest mountain sports and skiing centre, with everything from sensational snow boarding and skiing, to stunning high and low level walks of all grades. For a more relaxing winter activity, visit the local reindeer herd and join in feeding the animals.

In summary, this area makes the perfect base for discovering all that Speyside has to offer. The wildlife park, Cairngorm Funicular Railway, working sheepdogs and watersports in particular broaden the appeal for families. In the winter.
