All 19 bedrooms have en suite facilities, are very comfortable and well equipped.
A great deal of imagination goes into the preparation of the menu using as much fresh local ingredients as possible. The food is first class with a suitably supportive wine list.

A great deal of imagination goes into the preparation of the restaurant menu and the food is first class with a suitably supportive wine list. The menu changes daily with options to suite all tastes.
The restaurant is open daily with lunch served from 12.00noon until 2.30pm and dinner served from 6.00pm until 9.00pm
At the Glen Lui Hotel there are 19 non smoking bedrooms with private facilities. Each room is equipped with a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones, trousers press and hair dryer. Children are welcome in family rooms and pets are welcome by prior arrangement in Pine Terrace rooms. The Pine Terrace rooms are en suite twin rooms and are situated to the rear of the hotel and approximately one minute's walk from the main entrance. In the main hotel there are double, twin and single en suite rooms together with two suites - The Lochnagar Suite and Lecht Suite.

We specialise in designing a menu to suit your taste and can cater for private functions, family celebrations and small weddings for up to 30 people.

The Glen Lui Hotel is an ideal base for your holiday in Royal Deeside. Ballater lies within the boundaries of The Cairngorms National Park, Britain's largest national Park. During your stay you can head out on The Aberdeen & Grampian Castle Trail, enjoy to The Victorian Heritage Trail and perhaps sample a dram or two on Scotlands Malt Whisky Trail. At certain times of the year it is possible to visit the grounds, gardens and exhibitions at Balmoral Castle. The gift shop, coffe shop, pony trekking, guided walks and luxury landrover safaris are also available and each year there are the Balmoral Road Races. During the summer months you can also experience Ballater Victoria Week, the Clan Farquharson Gathering or perhaps one of the highland games - Ballater Games, Aboyne Games and of course the world famous Braemar Gathering. Fly fishing for salmon on the RIver Dee. A round of golf - with over 30 courses to choose from and of course there is Ballater Golf Week each year. Skiing at Glenshee Ski Centre. With 25 miles of downhill runs, the largest selection in Scotland, including the famous black run 'The Tiger'. Walking - the Cairngorms National Park and Grampian offers superb terrain and wonderful views and there is also Ballater Walking Week
